Monday was the soft opening for the new Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library.
“Story times will of course resume, but other events can and will be added in the future,” said library director Daniel Mauchley. “Those will be decided with the staff in coming months. We expect the return of our larger family Saturday events now that we have a much more accommodating community room to hold them in.”
Besides what the library is offering, they are already receiving requests from public groups to host events in the space such as author panels and the quilting guild.
The library will also be launching a new reservation calendar at its website by late February to allow patrons to make a reservation for the community rooms at the Duchesne and Roosevelt branches, and to reserve the study room and conference rooms at the Roosevelt branch.
The grand opening is set for April 22. Check the library’s website to stay informed on when that feature and other events become available.
