UFitness Therapy & Gym finally opened it’s doors March 1 and people couldn’t wait to take a look at the area’s newest fitness center.

The CEO and president of Uintah Basin Healthcare, James Marshall, board of trustee members, local politicians, business owners, the Duchesne County Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Vernal Chamber of Commerce were all on hand to share in the much anticipated moment.

The whole reason for UFitness, the public, came out in large numbers too. The new facility is impressive with a separate physical/occupational therapy area, walking track, strength training area, cardiovascular training, yoga, spin class and, two indoor pickleball courts.

Want to become a member or sign up for classes? There’s an app for that. Download the UFitness app to your phone or visit their website ubh.org/ufitness, or call (435)722-6186.

“As a not-for-profit healthcare system, our mission is literally to give back to the community, to help improve health and wellness in our community,” Marshall said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “That’s our goal, to get people out and get people active and really enjoy this amazing facility. The Newfield Foundation donated 1.5 million towards this project and I think it turned out really well. I hope you love it.”

Marshall thanked the many sponsors and individuals who helped make the project a success.
