May 16, 1938 to March 12, 2023

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, Robert Terry Montgomery, was called home on March 12, 2023, following a long illness.
He was born on May 16, 1938, in Vernal, Uintah, Utah, a son of John Russell and Edith LaVern Anderson Montgomery. He was raised in Vernal and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He married Enola Murray on Feb. 24, 1956. Their marriage was blessed with three children. They were later divorced.
He married the love of his life, “Jody” Harriett Kranendonk, on Aug. 9, 1987, in the Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple in 2019.
Terry’s life was his business and his family. Terry began his career with his brother, Tom, with Vernal Hide and Fur. They later changed the name to Montgomery Brothers Inc. in Vernal. He moved to Ogden and started his own business, Montgomery Fur Company. He was a second-generation fur buyer.
Terry loved his family very much. One of his greatest joys was taking his children and grandchildren fishing and hunting.
Surviving is his wife, Jody; son, Robert Randy (Debra) Montgomery; daughter, Lori (Vernon) Fitchette; stepchildren, Brent (Sharla) Goff and Bruce (Lisa) Goff; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
