From 400 to 500 ducks have been destroyed at the Ouray Wildlife Refuse this year to a botulism which has been identified to be in the soil.The ducks and other birds die from the botulism and when healthy birds eat the maggots in the dead carcass, they die also.

Bullying Prevention Programs Help Both Kids and Adults

October is National Bullying Prevention Month; bullying prevention programs begin locally, with communities and the individuals within them creating safe and supportive schools, organizations, neighborhoods, and family units.According to the PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, one in five students report being bullied, but the actual number of bullying incidents can be far more significant.
