SALT LAKE CITY â Anyone who goes fishing knows how thrilling it is to catch a fish, especially if it is a large, potentially record-breaking one. And in 2024, anglers set a few new fishing records in Utah.

On January 3, 2025 at about 12:45 in the afternoon there was an oil tank that caught fire while the tanks were having some maintenance done to them. At some point a fire started and the battery of tanks then became fully engulfed in flames, the oil well site and location were evacuated and state road 87 north of Duchesne was shut down for a short time. The fire was located about three miles north of Duchesne City. No one was injured or hurt during the incident.
