March 10, 1928 to January 16, 2023

Joy Mitchell Osborn, age 94, died peacefully on Jan. 16, 2023, due to complications to Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Born March 10, 1928, in Upalco, Utah, to Ira Ambrose and Gladys Mern Howells Mitchell. Joy grew up in Upalco followed by Nyssa, Oregon.
Joy lived in Washington for about 25 years where she raised four children. Later she lived in Heber Valley, Utah, for 13 years and then Tabiona Valley, Utah, for about 30 years.
Joy’s greatest love was her family. She was a patient, devoted mother and grandmother, and was proud of all her children and grandchildren in whatever they chose to do.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the amazing nurses, CNAs, staff and volunteers at Ashford Memory Care and Assisted Living in Springville and Bristol Hospice for their love and amazing care for Joy, and to Warenski Funeral Home for their professional and caring service.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mern, Mona, and Julie; and brothers, Bud, Jean, Verd, and Ted.
She is survived by her children, Jim Osborn (Jane), Paulette Brown (Wayne), Ilene Johnston (John), Suzan Spraktes (Lee); 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and sister, Loma Bennett.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at the Deer Mountain Ward Chapel located at 2742 W. 14400 S., Bluffdale, UT 84065. Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
